The guidebook is concerned with “correctional control” through the application of new technologies. “Physical jail cells are being replaced with digital prisons through the expansion of electronic monitoring.” More specifically, it’s concerned with how such technologies are being used to track and deport immigrants. They are seeking to build urban movements against surveillance.
